About Muriel

I am Muriel, a native German speaker with an official DLL certification from the Goethe-Institut and several years of experience teaching private students with different backgrounds, levels, and goals.

I specialize in intermediate and advanced learners (B1+) who already have a solid foundation in German and want to develop the language in a more natural, active, and confident way. Over the years, I have worked with students using German in everyday life, relationships, studies, and professional environments. This has shown me that every learner is different, and that the most effective lessons are always adapted to the individual needs, interests, and goals of each student.

I speak German, Spanish, and English, and I have lived in five countries. My own experience learning languages and adapting to different cultures has given me a deep understanding of the challenges of language learning - wanting to express an idea, opinion, or emotion but still not having the words or confidence to do so. That is why I create a professional, supportive, and relaxed learning environment where you can speak freely, make mistakes without pressure, and gradually build confidence step by step.

My goal is to help you make German a natural part of your communication, so you can express yourself clearly and confidently - and gradually develop your own voice in German.

About the lesson

My classes are designed for intermediate and advanced learners (B1+) who already have a solid foundation in German and want to express themselves more naturally, fluently, and confidently. I mainly work through guided conversation, authentic topics, and ongoing personalized correction.

During class, I take structured notes on your vocabulary, expressions, and grammar to help you improve in a clear, practical, and progressive way. For me, speaking a language well is not about perfection. It is about being able to express your thoughts, opinions, and personality in a natural way. That is why my classes focus less on memorizing rules and more on developing real, spontaneous communication.

A typical lesson includes active conversation, vocabulary expansion, personalized feedback, and work with expressions that native speakers actually use. Topics are always adapted to your personal, academic, or professional interests.

Thanks to my background in Economics and Marketing Communication, I can also support you with professional German: meetings, interviews, networking, presentations, and business communication.

My goal is to help you make German a natural part of your communication, so you can express yourself clearly and confidently in real-life situations.
