About Alka

I am an enthusiastic final year university student (Medicine, MD) who has gone through nearly 6 years of higher education and a total of 19 years in education combined. I aspire to help students who actively put in the hard work to achieve great results and successful outcomes. Having gone through so many years of education myself I understand how much effort needs to be given in order to achieve maximum results, therefore I want to encourage young students to optimise their chances by getting extra support in areas that need improving. I want to highlight the importance of building the confidence of my students throughout the sessions so they feel comfortable enough to ask as many questions as possible in order to provide clarity in their subjects of interest and make use out of the sessions. As an extremely organised individual I can guarantee that my lesson plans are always well structured and thought out and the resources I provide are always catered to the needs of the individual. I look forward to working with many of you.

About the lesson

As a student myself, I understand the efforts and work needed in order to achieve a successful outcome, knowing this I can provide excellent lesson plans and resources catered to your specific needs and specification in order for you to thrive in your exams. To provide clarity and support I go through the students specification and see which area needs most focus and take it from there. A typical lesson would last about 45 minutes to an hour in which I constantly ask the student if anything can be improved or if any other areas need to be focused on.Having had previous experience as a tutor online in group settings and 1 on 1 I know exactly what methods and structures are useful for the student. I also want to emphasise that I provide support around the clock not just within the fixed hours, there fore if any questions arise you can feel free to notify me at any time. My lessons are for students from Year 7 and above but any exceptions are welcome so please let me know.
