About Masooma
Hi! I'm Masooma, and I'm in the final months of my MBBS journey before becoming a doctor. Reaching this stage has required years of dedication, learning from countless resources, and adapting to many different teaching styles. Along the way, I discovered that understanding how students learn is just as important as knowing the subject itself.
These experiences have shaped my teaching philosophy. I focus on making Biology and the medical sciences engaging, concept-based, and easy to understand through interactive discussions, visual learning, diagrams, clinical correlations, and practical examples rather than rote memorization.
Teaching is something I genuinely enjoy, and over the past several years I've had the opportunity to teach students from different academic backgrounds in both online and in-person settings. Alongside my medical education, I've also been involved in academic research and scientific writing, which have strengthened my analytical thinking and communication skills.
My goal is simple: to help students build confidence, master concepts, and enjoy the learning process not just prepare for their next exam.

As a final-year MBBS student with several years of teaching experience, I believe that the best learning happens when students truly understand concepts rather than memorize facts. Being a student myself, I understand how overwhelming and monotonous subjects like Biology, Physiology, Biochemistry, and Pathophysiology can sometimes feel. That's why I focus on making every lesson engaging, interactive, and easy to visualize.
My teaching style is highly concept-based and student-centered. I use diagrams, 3D models, clinical correlations, flowcharts, pictorial references, animations where appropriate, and real-life examples to simplify complex topics. I encourage active participation through continuous question-and-answer discussions, case-based thinking, and problem-solving instead of one-way lectures. My goal is to create a learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing confidence in their understanding.
A typical lesson begins with assessing the student's current understanding and learning goals. We then build the topic step by step, connecting fundamental concepts with practical applications. Throughout the lesson, I use visual aids, interactive discussions, and regular knowledge checks to reinforce learning. At the end of each session, we review key points, address any remaining doubts, and discuss strategies for effective revision and exam preparation.
My lessons are suitable for O Level, A Level, Intermediate, pre-medical, and undergraduate students who want to strengthen their understanding of Biology and related medical sciences. Whether you're preparing for school examinations, entrance tests, or university courses, my aim is not only to help you achieve better grades but also to develop a solid conceptual foundation that will benefit you throughout your academic journey.
