About Georgie

I'm currently completing the final trimester of my Bachelor of Laws and Criminology degree, alongside working as a paralegal in the legal profession.

Throughout my studies and professional experience, I've developed a strong interest in legal research, writing and critical thinking. Having spent several years balancing university with practical legal work, I understand the challenges that come with studying demanding subjects, preparing for assessments and building confidence in your academic abilities.

I'm passionate about helping students feel more confident in their studies, whether they're navigating high school English and Legal Studies or beginning their own university law degree. I particularly enjoy breaking down complicated concepts, sharing practical study strategies and helping students develop their own approach to learning.

I believe that having someone who is patient, approachable and able to explain things in a different way can make a real difference to a student's confidence and academic progress.

As someone who is in university, I can relate to the pressures students face and aim to create a relaxed, supportive environment where no question feels too small or silly.

Above all, I want students to leave each lesson feeling more capable, confident and prepared to tackle their studies independently.

Having nearly completed my own university studies, I understand the challenges of navigating complex subjects, managing assessments and developing confidence in academic writing. My approach to tutoring is friendly, patient and tailored to each student's individual learning style, strengths and areas for improvement.

For high school English, I can assist with essay planning and structure, text analysis, analytical writing, developing arguments, improving written expression and preparing for assessments and exams.

For high school Legal Studies, I can help students understand the Australian legal system, legislation and key legal concepts, while developing their research, critical thinking and extended-response writing skills.

For university law students, particularly those in their first or second year, I can provide guidance with understanding case law and legislation, legal research, AGLC referencing, essay structure, answering hypothetical problem questions using IRAC and preparing for exams.

My lessons are generally 60 minutes and are tailored to each student's current coursework, assessment requirements and learning goals. I focus on making lessons practical and engaging by working through examples, discussing difficult concepts and helping students develop effective approaches to their studies.
