Well, I believe in one thing in teaching: "basics". That is one thing that is often ignored by teachers and students alike and I have, in my professional field of tax and financial consultancy often come across consternating deficiency of fundamental accounting knowledge in several experienced accountants! I mean to obliterate that. It pains me to see that trait and I feel it is imperative that our future generation is not plagued by this incumbent ailment.
