About Fabio
I started studying filmmaking in 2010 at Immagina Film School of Florence, in Italy and, at the same time, I was studying acting at the Puccini Theater and at Dance Performance School in Florence.
My other passion is nature and that is why I graduated in Geological Sciences at the University of Florence to pursue my curiosity for understanding our planet.
During my time at the University I have participated with my short documentaries based on Geology in several Film Festivals in Italy, where I have been awarded in 2018 and 2019.
At the end 2020 I made a documentary called "Natural Survival” that was a week-long experience exploring the relationship between human and nature in the countryside near Orvieto (Italy), where I joined the participants actively, living in nature.
My last documentary in 2021 “Have you heard of Mountgeroult, Viardot and Labori?” was the result of a research residency on French women composers from the 18th and 19th century, hosted in Saint-Étienne (France) by L’opera pourquoi pas! and supported by the European Union (Creative.eu program). It was a month-long experience.
I also have worked as a film making professor within the National Teaching Program, where I have taught the basics of filmmaking, resulting in short films that touch topics such as drugs and social media. That was in a high school environment, for seventeen-eighteen years old students, at the Bertrand Russell-Isaac Newton School in Florence (Italy). I have worked 1 year for the Lorenzo de’ Medici University in Florence (Italy), creating videos for art students and professors.
I have collaborated with international musicians and recorded concerts in Asia, Europe and USA, and produced a short documentary web series about the development of the piano.

I have worked as a film making professor within the National Teaching Program, where I have taught the basics of filmmaking.

- How to EDIT a video with DaVinci Resolve or Premiere pro.
- Color correction and Grading.
- Gear
- Storytelling: Structure, Story Event, Scene, Beat, Sequence and Act.
- Basic Film Composition techniques: Rule of Thirds, Light and Dark, Angles and Perspective.
- Understanding Shot Types, creating and organizing a Shot List.
