About Noni
My name is Noni, I just graduated with my Honours degree in Film and TV (with distinction), also majoring in Archaeology (top archaeology student). I was a virtual assistant for most of this year, mostly managing social media and blogs for a fitness account. I was also a production assistant on the set of IDOLS SA season 17 auditions 2021, as well as a freelance tutor. I have just over four years of experience tutoring English, Afrikaans First Additional Language, Maths, Biology and EGD (Engineering Graphics and Design).
I also work part-time as a Game-Master at an escape room, which requires much public speaking and people skills. I also have a VERY small YouTube channel, which I use as a way to keep my shooting, editing and social media marketing skills nice and sharp during the lockdown. The weirdest thing about me is probably that I spend most of my free time knitting!

My approach to private tutoring is to keep things as simple as possible, to break difficult concepts down into manageable chunks, and I always take a "think for yourself" approach: This means I teach the student tools, tips, tricks and rules and ask the student to apply these methods during tests and in assignments. As a result, I hope to teach my students to explain, justify and apply themselves instead of spoon feeding them. This is a valuable skill in learning almost anything in life, and I believe that with all my heart.
