I started taking classes with my Portuguese teacher less than a year ago because I wanted to learn Brazilian Portuguese, and honestly, she is amazing. Not only did she teach me so much, but thanks to her, I was able to have full conversations in Portuguese in less than a year. I even went to Brazil and could talk easily with people there! The progress I’ve made in such a short time is incredible. She’s a great teacher : patient, attentive, and always adapts her approach depending on the student’s needs. I couldn’t recommend her more!

I learnt and am still learning Spanish at Coburg High School, and enjoyed Ricelli’s presence greatly. I never had her as a teacher myself, but heard only good things from others and we built a connection over camps and activities within school that we both participated in and she was always there to help out with my Spanish. Not only is Ricelli an extremely talented teacher, she is also one of the most considerate and likeable teachers I have ever talked to. She makes students feel comfortable, confident and breaks learning another language, a confronting and difficult task, into such manageable and loveable smaller steps. Ricelli knows how to make learning enjoyable but also how to form respectful relationships with students outside of class time so that they genuinely enjoy being present around their teacher. Ricelli was at both my year 9 camp and a leadership camp I was on and throughout both of those, helped me with any issues I had relating to friendships, provided a safe space, kept my friends and I up to date and practicing our Spanish and participated in activities to encourage other students and create a community. I absolutely loved ricelli and she was the reason I continued Spanish in year 9 and she is such an amazing teacher, she is such an easy person to like and hope that she can teach a good set of students that loved her just like we did.

When I was studying Spanish I was getting very confused and struggled a lot. When Ricelli became my new Spanish teacher she helped simplify and explain things to where I was beginning to learn more and have better results. Ricelli is also an amazing person who always brings positive vibes into a classroom and is always ready to make learning fun and interesting. Ricelli was one of the best teachers I ever had. I had been learning Spanish for two years at school already but Ricelli’s class made me learn so much more Spanish and made me feel really confident. What’s special about Ricelli is that she genuinely cares about her students and goes that extra mile to make learning more enjoyable and engaging. She used many different teaching techniques to get her students to understand the things she was teaching. She used creative methods for teaching that I’ve never had a teacher use before but they were the things that got me to really understand the language. This is what made learning Spanish really fun and made me confident in my abilities. It is obvious that Ricelli loves her job and it comes through in her genuine care for students and enthusiasm in teaching. I knew I could always rely on Ricelli for help. She never let her students down. I looked forward to every class with her and enjoyed every single one. I’m so grateful I got to have her as a teacher.

Ricelli is an incredible teacher: very dedicated, open-minded, and competent in her linguistic and didactic knowledge.
