I bring a wealth of knowledge and hands-on experience to my teaching. About the lesson

I am committed to fostering creativity, empowering individual expression, and nurturing a deep understanding of the fashion design process. Each lesson is meticulously crafted to cater to the unique needs and aspirations of my students, ensuring an enriching and personalised learning experience. We will delve into the fundamentals of fashion design, from sketching techniques and the principles of garment construction. Using Adobe Illustrator, I guide students through the process of translating their ideas into precise technical drawings, equipping them with essential digital design skills. We will explore the art of creating line sheets and range plans, honing students' abilities to present their collections professionally and strategically. Through hands-on exercises and real-world examples, students gain a comprehensive understanding of how to develop cohesive and marketable fashion lines. But my approach goes beyond technical proficiency; I place a strong emphasis on inclusive design, ensuring that students learn to create clothing that celebrates diversity and embraces all body types. With a focus on empathy and understanding, I empower students to design with compassion and inclusivity at the forefront of their practice. Throughout the lesson, students are encouraged to ask questions, experiment with new techniques, and unleash their creativity without limits. I provide constructive feedback and personalised guidance every step of the way, fostering a supportive and collaborative learning environment. By the end of each session, students leave feeling inspired, empowered, and equipped with the skills and confidence to take their fashion journey to new heights. With my innovative teaching approach and unwavering dedication to student success, I ensure that every student receives the guidance and support they need to thrive in the competitive world of fashion design.
