About Kin

I am a dedicated Flute instructor with over 11 years of teaching experience, guiding School students, College students, and working professionals. I enjoy helping students learn flute through clear guidance and structured practice.

My teaching approach focuses on strong fundamentals and musical understanding. I train students in posture, breath control, finger coordination, tone clarity, rhythm accuracy, and musical expression. Lessons are customised to match each student’s goals and pace.

I believe effective learning comes from clear communication and regular practice. I explain techniques in simple terms and provide step-by-step support. Accountability is maintained through progress tracking and honest feedback. Integrity is an important value in my teaching style.

Along with flute lessons, I also teach music theory, notation reading, rhythm exercises, and performance preparation. I assist students with exams, auditions, and stage performances.

My unique strength is my ability to motivate students of all ages. I aim to create a disciplined, friendly, and encouraging learning environment for every learner.

About the lesson

I follow a flute teaching methodology that emphasises Communication, Creativity, and Flexibility, focusing on each student’s individual needs and aspirations. I begin by understanding the student’s current skills, goals, and learning style.

Through clear communication, I explain concepts like breathing, fingering, tone production, and reading music in simple, practical steps. Students are encouraged to ask questions and actively participate in shaping their lessons.

Creativity is central to my approach. I guide students to explore different genres, improvise, and interpret pieces with their own expression. Flexibility ensures that lessons are adapted to each student’s pace, interests, and areas of difficulty, making learning both effective and enjoyable.

In addition to flute instruction, I incorporate music theory, sight-reading, rhythm exercises, and ear training to build well-rounded musicianship. My approach ensures that students gain technical mastery, expressive performance skills, and confidence, while fostering a lifelong love for music and personal growth as musicians.
