About Kelly
I have been tutoring math since I was 12 years old, which means I have had hundreds of students over the past 25 years. I have tutored people from all over the world, including elite international students in Monaco and the private-school-bound SSAT students of Silicon Valley. 100% of my students improve their test scores, and many have achieved perfect math scores on the SSAT, SAT, and GRE. My students report feeling more confident and relaxed, and even tell me they enjoy math now when they used to hate it! I genuinely love math, and it is my mission to make math easier, more useful, and more fun for all of my students. I've been told my "passion for math is infectious." I tailor every lesson to your goals, learning style, and pace. We’ll start with a discussion about your desired score on the exam and what kind of prep or practice tests you’ve already done. If you know what you need to study, we’ll get right to it! If not, we’ll do a diagnostic test to see where you’re at and where we have the biggest opportunities for improvement. Then I’ll put together a comprehensive lesson and study plan to make sure you meet your goal. I have tutored hundreds of students, both American and international, for the SAT Math. I have strategies and practice sets to help you improve, no matter where you’re starting from. If you haven’t taken the test yet, we’ll get you ready. In the 400-600 range? We should be able to raise that by 100 points or more. Already scoring above 700? Let’s work toward that perfect score! During our lessons, we’ll have a video call (like Zoom), and also a shared whiteboard where we can work on problems together. So it will be just like having an in-person tutor. If you have an iPad or tablet and a pen to write on it, it’s a good idea to have those handy for the lessons :) My learning environment is always full of positivity, encouraging words, and even a few laughs.
