About Judith

I am a dedicated teacher and a mother of two—a six-year-old son and a baby daughter. I currently live in Scotland, but I have also spent time living and working in London and Tokyo, experiences that have given me a deep appreciation for different cultures and ways of learning. Teaching has always been my passion, and I love the personalised nature of tuition, which allows me to truly get to know my students and understand what works best for them. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing a child make rapid progress when lessons are tailored to their individual needs and learning style. I also enjoy the holistic aspect of tutoring, as it often means working closely with families and providing guidance beyond academics. Building these meaningful connections and helping children grow in confidence and ability is what makes teaching such a joy for me.

About the lesson

With over 12 years of teaching experience, I am a fully qualified primary school teacher specialising in preparing children for school entrance exams, particularly for the UK’s top prep schools. I take a highly personalised approach, designing bespoke lessons tailored to each child’s individual needs, interests, and learning style. My interactive and engaging teaching methods are designed not only to build academic excellence but also to nurture a genuine love for learning. Above all, I believe that a strong teacher-pupil bond is key to a child’s success, and I strive to create a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel confident to thrive. Having worked extensively with international families, I understand the challenges of transitioning to the UK curriculum and provide expert guidance throughout the process. I have developed a comprehensive bank of resources, including exam papers and targeted practice materials, to ensure that my students are fully prepared to achieve their academic goals.
