Vickie is simply amazing!!! She helped me overcome my struggles with care and compassion... she was always there as my tutor and has become someone who I would call a friend. I first met Vickie when a student at the University of Suffolk when on a work based learning programme that led to my full degree in nursing. Throughout my time there Vickie was my course leader and while I struggled with studies due to some health issues she is the one person who gave me so much encouragement to complete the course. An excellent tutor, and encourager and l will always be grateful for her support, encouragement and help. I would recommend her highly and am pleased I have kept in touch with her to tell of my achievements since qualifying as a Mental Health Nurse and would always be happy to speak to any student who struggled in the way I did. I too have now led many students through placements in my field of work and am the Student lead for our team. I have had a secondment as Team Manager recently also. None of this would have been possible without Vickie's support and guidance and I think I am a better nurse and mentor because of her!!
