About Isola

I am a passionate Maths tutor with over 5 years of experience and a Master’s in Mathematics (MMath). My love for mathematics goes beyond formulae and calculations. I am fascinated by the history of mathematics and how mathematical thought has evolved over centuries. I explore the contributions of ancient civilisations, from the Egyptians and Babylonians to the Greeks and Indians. I enjoy sharing the origins of famous theorems and the stories behind key mathematical discoveries. Every concept has a tale, and understanding it makes learning more meaningful. I guide students to appreciate not only how to solve problems but also the cultural and intellectual journey of mathematics. Lessons are designed to be engaging, connecting historical context with modern applications. I encourage curiosity and ask students to think critically about why methods were developed. Together, we uncover patterns, ideas, and strategies that shaped mathematics today. My goal is to make students see the beauty and logic in numbers. Learning mathematics becomes a journey through time and human creativity. About the lesson

My teaching approach in Maths is systematic, clear, and focused on building efficiency and accuracy. I cover a wide range of topics including algebra, geometry, calculus, and statistics. I also emphasise mental maths techniques, speed calculation, estimation skills, and quick problem-solving hacks. Each concept is broken down step by step to make learning simple and intuitive. I encourage students to practise regularly while applying tricks that save time and improve precision. Quick numerical challenges become fun exercises rather than stressful tasks. I provide consistent feedback to track progress and identify areas needing improvement. Lessons are interactive, allowing students to ask questions and explore multiple approaches to a problem. I help students develop strategies to tackle exams and assignments confidently. With focused guidance, they can master tricky calculations and think faster. The goal is not just to learn formulae but to strengthen overall problem-solving ability. Together, we work on boosting confidence and achieving measurable results in every session.
