About Naya

I am a Maths tutor with over 5 years of experience and an MPhil in Mathematics. I take a holistic approach to teaching, focusing on reducing maths anxiety and building confidence in learners of all ages. I work closely with students who have struggled with mathematics or feel overwhelmed, helping them regain trust in their abilities. About the lesson

My teaching approach in Mathematics emphasises clarity, reflection, and deep conceptual understanding. I cover core topics as well as advanced areas like abstract algebra, number theory, mathematical proofs, and other higher theoretical concepts. Lessons focus on helping students see the logic behind ideas rather than just memorising formulas. I encourage a gentle, thoughtful pace, allowing time to explore and internalise concepts fully. With DIY learning and research techniques, students are guided to discover their unique ways of approaching complex theorems. Repetition, examples, and step-by-step explanations strengthen understanding and build confidence. I integrate problem-solving exercises that challenge students to think creatively and independently. Each session is tailored to individual learning styles, ensuring that no one feels left behind. I foster curiosity and encourage questions, helping students connect abstract concepts to practical applications. My goal is to support them in excelling academically while developing a lifelong appreciation for mathematical thinking. Together, we explore new ways to approach problems and uncover patterns. Students gradually gain the confidence to tackle advanced mathematics with ease.
