About Aimee

I am a mathematics tutor with over 5 years of experience and a MSc in Applied Mathematics. My teaching goes beyond traditional methods, integrating chaos theory and fractal geometry to explore complex systems and natural phenomena. I guide students through iterated functions, self-similarity, and strange attractors, using visual examples and interactive simulations to make abstract concepts tangible.

I work closely with curious learners and students interested in interdisciplinary science, helping them connect mathematics to physics, biology, and computer modelling. My approach emphasises exploration, encouraging questions and experimentation to foster deep understanding. I focus on building intuition alongside technical skills, so students see patterns and structures in seemingly random systems.

I use real-world applications to show how mathematics explains natural patterns, from weather systems to population dynamics. About the lesson

My teaching approach in mathematics is highly structured, focusing on building concepts step by step. I guide learners to see the practical applications of mathematics in fields like actuarial science and real-world scenarios. Lessons are tailored to each student’s pace and strengths, reinforcing weak areas while challenging strong ones. I emphasise clarity, making complex concepts easier to grasp without oversimplifying. Regular exercises, examples, and discussions help reinforce understanding.

My approach encourages students to ask questions and think critically. Every topic follows a clear progression, building both knowledge and confidence. I support learners in excelling in exams, assignments, and future academic or career goals. My goal is not just to teach formulae but to develop independent thinking and analytical skills. Each session is interactive, focused, and motivating, creating a positive learning experience. By the end, students feel confident, competent, and ready to apply their skills.
