About Mohith

Teaching has always been a passion of mine because I believe that knowledge should be shared, not just acquired. Throughout my academic journey—from earning my Master’s degree at the University of Glasgow to pursuing my Ph.D. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at AUT—I’ve come to appreciate the power of understanding concepts deeply rather than just memorizing formulas. I want to teach because I know how frustrating it can be when a subject feels overwhelming. But I also know the confidence and excitement that come when things start making sense. My goal is to help students experience that moment of clarity—to turn confusion into confidence and show them that Math and Physics are not just subjects but tools to understand the world around us. I’ve seen firsthand how the right teaching approach can make all the difference. Whether you’re struggling with equations or aiming for top grades, I want to support, guide, and inspire you to achieve your academic goals. More than anything, I want to help students build a strong foundation, think critically, and develop a love for learning that lasts beyond the classroom. About the lesson

Techniques & Teaching Methodology I believe in a student-centered approach to tutoring, tailoring each lesson to the individual’s learning style and pace. I focus on building a strong conceptual foundation by simplifying complex topics and using real-life examples to enhance understanding. My teaching methods include: Interactive problem-solving: Encouraging students to actively participate by working through problems step by step. Visual aids and simulations: Using diagrams, graphs, and online simulations to clarify abstract concepts in Math and Physics. Practice and reinforcement: Assigning exercises and quizzes to ensure retention and application of knowledge. Exam preparation and strategy: Teaching problem-solving techniques, time management, and critical thinking skills to excel in tests. Typical Lesson Length Each lesson typically lasts 60 to 90 minutes, depending on the student's needs. I also offer intensive sessions for exam preparation or specific topics. Qualifications & Experience Pursuing Ph.D. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Auckland University of Technology, specializing in sensor technologies and advanced physics applications. Master’s Degree in Sensor and Imaging Systems from the University of Glasgow, with strong expertise in mathematical modeling and physics-based systems. Experience mentoring and assisting students in mathematics, physics, and engineering subjects. Strong background in problem-solving, research, and analytical thinking, which I incorporate into my tutoring sessions. Who the Lessons Are For? I offer tutoring for: High school students (NCEA Levels 1, 2, 3, Cambridge, IB) preparing for exams or needing help with coursework. University students who require assistance with advanced mathematics, physics, or engineering subjects. Adult learners looking to improve their skills for academic or professional growth. I am passionate about helping students gain confidence in Math and Physics, ensuring they not only improve their grades but also develop a deep understanding of the subjects.
