About Kurtis
Hi, I’m Kurtis, a UNSW graduate with a double degree in Mathematics and Actuarial Studies, and over 8 years of tutoring experience. I’m passionate about helping students not only succeed but also develop a love for mathematics. I enjoy engaging in discussions about math and often use visualisations and simulations to illustrate underlying mechanisms and WHY things work, making complex concepts more enjoyable, and easier to understand and appreciate.

My lessons are typically one hour but can be adjusted based on each student’s needs, with discounts available for longer sessions. I bring over 8 years of experience and a degree in Mathematics, along with my background in both Extension 1 and 2 Mathematics. Many of my students have achieved ATARs as high as 99.95.
Lessons are conducted via Zoom, with real-time notes streamed from my iPad into OneNote, where students have access to notebooks for review at any time. I use practical examples to build understanding and, importantly, a passion for the content—ideal for high school students preparing for exams or anyone looking to excel in math.

Details
For students who require longer sessions, I offer 1.5-hour lessons for $100 and 2-hour lessons for $125. This allows for a deeper dive into the material and additional time for questions and practice.
