About Willa

I am a Mathematics tutor with over 5 years of experience and an MSc in Applied Mathematics. My teaching goes beyond traditional methods, integrating chaos theory and fractal geometry to explore complex systems and natural phenomena. I help students understand the beauty of mathematics through patterns in nature and the dynamics of seemingly unpredictable systems. My lessons focus on iterated functions, self-similarity, and strange attractors, using visual examples and interactive simulations to make abstract ideas tangible. I work closely with curious learners and those interested in interdisciplinary science, connecting mathematics to physics, biology, and computer science. Students are encouraged to experiment, ask questions, and explore patterns themselves. I emphasise intuition and creativity alongside rigorous problem-solving. My approach helps students see connections between theory and real-world complexity. Together, we uncover the hidden order in chaotic systems. My goal is to nurture confident, analytical thinkers who appreciate both the depth and elegance of mathematics. About the lesson

My approach to teaching maths is relaxed, clear, and application-focused. I connect mathematical concepts to real-world problems and digital applications. Alongside core topics like Trigonometry, Geometry, and Algebra, I include subjects related to coding logic, algorithmic thinking, discrete mathematics, and understanding computational processes. I use programming analogies to make abstract concepts more intuitive. This helps students see the link between numbers, patterns, and computer logic. I focus on helping students think like an Architect—planning solutions—and like a Proof Seeker—analysing and verifying ideas carefully. Each session is interactive and problem-solving oriented. Students are encouraged to ask questions freely and explore different approaches. I emphasise understanding the “why” behind every method, not just memorising formulas. Assignments, exercises, and coding examples are designed to strengthen both reasoning and computational thinking. I guide students to communicate their ideas naturally and confidently. Together, we break complex problems into manageable steps. My goal is to help learners excel in exams, projects, and real-life applications. Maths becomes more than a subject—it becomes part of your digital life.
