About Simone

I have been teaching the amazing game of chess for 15 years, to pass on my knowledge from my years of winning tournaments, and rising in the chess ranks. I learned chess as a teenager, and have had the privilege to have many mentors along the way who were grandmasters. I wish to pass on my knowledge and experience to others. I have been working with children from ages 4 to 14, from beginner to intermediate/advanced levels. I have also taught adults. I have taught in the school systems, homeschool, and privately, and have guided students towards tournament play.

About the lesson

I have been teaching chess to children and in afterschool and small group classes, private and online settings for 20 years. I have been passionate about chess since I was a teenager and enjoying passing on my knowledge to others. For beginners we start with all the rules of chess, how to win, basic opening, middlegame and endgame strategy, values of pieces, and chess notation. As well as gaining tactical and strategical understanding. For more intermediate to advanced players, we learn the more difficult tactics, calculation skills, understand how grandmasters think through famous games, and go over your own games. Its important to set goals and work toward them. I teach ONLY ONLINE via chess.com and zoom combined. There will be a virtual interactive chessboard where we move the pieces, and see eachother via the Zoom Camera.

For younger kids I also offer 45 and 30 minute option. For 45 minutes I charge 35$ and for 30 minutes I charge 25$
