- What kind of experience do you have? I have 10 years Primary teaching experience and have led on Literacy/English. I am also a phonics expert/reading specialist having trained teachers and parents around the country. I have tutored children ranging from aged 6-11 years including 11+ English Common Entrance Exams and 11+ Reasoning. Available for LAMDA Examination prep also. - Do you have an up-to-date DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service, formerly CRB) Certificate? Yes - Do you belong to any professional organisations? Hello. I am passionate about raising Literacy standards. I have proven success in writing and confidence through 1:1 tutoring. I am a former teacher with over 10 years teaching experience and educationist having worked at The Children's Literacy Charity and Middlesex University. In addition, I teach Drama, LAMDA and public speaking skills and Greek. - Which subject(s) do you teach? KS1 and KS2 English and Maths. KS1 and KS2 £30ph KS3 English £35ph Acting classes / Drama school auditions £35ph Basic Greek £35ph Rates for siblings can be reduced, no travel charges in North London. - Where do you teach? I can teach either at my home (EN1) or at student's homes. I can travel to Winchmore Hill, Southgate, Barnet, Crouch End and Muswell Hill amongst other areas. - When are you available? Alexandra’s teaching methods were perfect. She made them easy to understand for the kids and really enjoyable and involving sessions. They progressed so well in her classes and I would thoroughly recommend her.
Alexandra is a fantastic tutor. She provided outstanding tutoring over lockdown.
