About Leona
My teaching methodology is based on motivation, patience, compassion, and creativity, which together create a positive and inspiring learning experience. I believe motivation is the key to learning — when students feel encouraged, they develop a deeper interest in Economics. Patience allows me to explain complex topics slowly and clearly so every student can follow along without feeling overwhelmed. Compassion helps me understand each learner’s needs and challenges, allowing me to tailor lessons accordingly. I use real-life examples, case studies, and practical scenarios to connect economic theories to everyday life. This makes learning more engaging and helps students see the relevance of Economics in the real world. I also design interactive activities, discussions, and problem-solving tasks that make lessons more dynamic and memorable. My goal is to make Economics not only understandable but also enjoyable. Besides Economics, I can teach related subjects such as business studies, finance, and basic mathematics for economics applications. I adapt my lessons to suit each student’s pace, strengths, and weaknesses, creating a customized learning experience. My approach focuses on building a strong foundation, improving analytical thinking, and developing problem-solving skills so students gain confidence. I am an Economics tutor with over 4 years of teaching experience, having guided more than 150 students from high school and college levels. Teaching is not just my profession — it is my passion. I take pride in breaking down complex economic concepts into simple, understandable lessons that inspire curiosity and build confidence in my students. My goal is to make Economics both interesting and practical so learners can see its value in real life.
Throughout my career, I have achieved important milestones, including helping many students improve their grades significantly and excel in their exams. I have supported learners in mastering both Microeconomics and Macroeconomics, guiding them through challenging assignments and preparing them for tests with confidence. Each success story motivates me to continue refining my teaching approach and finding new ways to engage my students.
