About Lily

Hi! I’m a passionate computer programming tutor with experience guiding students from K–12 through their first year of college. I love helping students not just learn to code, but truly understand how and why programs work. My goal is to make programming approachable, fun, and empowering—whether it’s building a simple game in Scratch, creating a website in HTML/CSS, or solving problems with Python, Java, or C++.

I focus on building strong problem-solving skills, logical thinking, and confidence in coding. I tailor each session to your learning style, ensuring concepts click, projects are meaningful, and challenges are motivating rather than frustrating. I enjoy celebrating small victories in coding because they’re the stepping stones to mastering bigger projects.

Outside of tutoring, I keep up with the latest programming trends and enjoy experimenting with new technologies, so I can bring fresh ideas and real-world examples into our lessons. Let’s turn coding into an exciting adventure and help you reach your programming goals!

About the lesson

In my programming lessons, I help students build a strong foundation while developing practical coding and problem-solving skills. I cover languages such as Python, Java, C++, and JavaScript, guiding learners from basic concepts to more advanced techniques. Each session combines clear explanations with hands-on exercises and real-world examples, ensuring that students not only understand the material but can also apply it confidently. I focus on breaking complex topics into manageable steps, encouraging logical thinking, and adapting the pace and content to each student’s goals—whether that’s mastering fundamental programming, working on personal projects, or preparing for academic or career challenges. By the end of each lesson, students gain both the knowledge and confidence to tackle coding problems independently and efficiently.
