About Matt

Accomplished and detail-oriented Scientist with a Doctorate of Philosophy in Psychology and over six years of extensive experience in statistical data analysis, machine learning, and neural networks. Proficient in using SPSS, Python, MATLAB, and Excel for advanced statistical analysis, including regression, ANOVA, and correlation.

As an Assistant Professor I created and delivered a comprehensive fourteen-week introductory statistics course to a 50+ student undergraduate psychology class. I have also been a teaching assistant for the following courses: Learning and Conditioning, Multivariate Data Analysis, Perception (x2), Quantitative Methods I (x5), Quantitative Methods II.

My research has resulted in several publications, including a book chapter, three Python tutorials, four journal articles, and seven conference proceedings. Additionally, I have presented my work at both national and international conferences, totaling fifteen conference presentations.

-Concept Breakdown: I explain the statistical theory, gradually introducing more complex ideas, using examples and visual aids.

-Practical Application: Students will engage with SPSS, Excel, or Python to analyze datasets, apply statistical tests, and interpret results.

-Review & Feedback: We close with a summary, addressing any lingering questions, and I offer personalized feedback to strengthen their understanding.
