I work with middle and high school students, helping them build confidence in their writing, refine their ideas, and strengthen their technical skills. Teaching Methods & Techniques: I tailor my lessons to each student’s needs, focusing on areas such as essay structure, grammar, creative writing, literary analysis, and editing techniques. I break down complex writing concepts into clear, manageable steps, allowing students to grasp them more easily. I also emphasize critical thinking and organization, teaching students how to develop strong arguments and communicate effectively. Typical Lesson Plan - Warm-up & Discussion: Review previous work, discuss challenges, and set goals. - Lesson Focus: Introduce a specific writing skill, such as structuring an argument or improving sentence flow. - Practice & Application: Work on exercises, analyze examples, or edit a piece of writing. - Feedback & Reflection: Provide constructive feedback and review key takeaways. - Next Steps: Assign practice work or outline areas to improve for the next session.
