About Trystan

I’m Trystan and I'm a qualified secondary school teacher (PGCE + QTS) originally from West Wales.

I’m fluent in Welsh, English, French and Spanish. I currently teach Welsh in schools to age ranges 11-18 - GCSE through to A Level - and also tutor Welsh for Adults from beginner to advanced level, helping learners prepare for national exams and real-world communication.

Whether you’re learning for exams, work, relocation or just curiosity — I’ll help you progress with confidence and enjoyment.

About the lesson

I’m very flexible and tailor each lesson to your needs — whether that’s reading, writing, speaking, or listening.

My focus is usually on speaking and listening, because these skills help you start communicating confidently and fluently in a shorter time. By prioritising real conversation and immersive practice, you’ll enjoy the language naturally and pick up new vocabulary effortlessly.

My lessons are relaxed, supportive, and designed so that learning feels enjoyable rather than stressful — the more you talk, the faster you progress!

Susana is an absolute star! She has been picking up Welsh very, very quickly and within 2 months of just an hour a week, she has been having full conversations with me and constructing really challenging sentences.
