About Ivy

I have 10+ years of experience as a singing tutor and hold an Associate of Music in Contemporary Vocal Techniques. I love working with young children and early teens, using creative and playful methods to make learning fun. My lessons focus on building stage presence and confidence, especially for school plays and talent shows. I use games, movement, and storytelling to teach important skills like pitch, rhythm, and vocal basics. These activities keep students engaged and excited about singing. I have a strong passion for folk songs, Disney songs, and musicals—all perfect for developing age-appropriate technique. Building confidence and listening skills is at the heart of my teaching. I believe music should bring joy, so I create a safe and welcoming space for every student. Helping kids discover their unique voice and enjoy making music is truly rewarding. Whether a child is shy or outgoing, I support them with patience and encouragement. Together, we explore their musical potential and help them shine on stage. Learning to sing can be a fun and exciting journey. I’m here to make sure it’s also a safe one. With the right guidance, young voices can truly sparkle.

About the lesson

My teaching approach focuses on developing vocal stamina and promoting long-term vocal health for professional singers. I emphasize techniques to manage and prevent vocal fatigue, ensuring singers can perform at their best during tours and busy schedules. Pre- and post-performance care is a key part of my lessons, helping students maintain their voices safely.

I guide singers in building strength and endurance without strain, so they can sustain a healthy singing career. My methodology is designed to support sustainable vocal habits that protect the voice over time. I work well with soloists in training and church ensemble players, helping them care for their instrument with proper technique and rest.

Lessons include practical advice on hydration, warm-ups, and recovery routines. I provide personalized feedback to help each singer listen to their body and avoid injury. Together, we build a solid foundation for vocal longevity.
