Ray was a excellent tutor for me in year 12
Chemistry this year he has a thorough understanding of all aspects of the study design. He was able to teach this content to me at a high level this year and also made our tutoring sessions fun by connecting with me and keeping me engaged

Ray is an epic tutor!
He has been very helpful over the past two years, easily explaining difficult topics in alternate ways that I could understand. I always felt comfortable asking further questions on tricky topics, and he would have no trouble adjusting his teaching style when it was needed. His vast collection of resources was very helpful during the lead up to exams or tests, allowing me to target my learning towards specific areas. I have learned so much from Ray, and what makes it better is that we can always laugh at (and correct) silly mistakes.

Ray Gallagher tutored me online with year twelve chemistry in 2023. I found his sessions complimented my class work very well, and he was able to give me a better, in depth, understanding of challenging topics. He was extremely up to date with all the content and was very encouraging and supportive. My study score of 40+ is very reflective of his efforts.

Ray tutored me for two years and would always be prepared with heaps of questions and problems to be solved each week. If I didn’t understand a topic or specific question he would often find a different approach to make sure I could understand and consolidate my learning. Not only did he have a variety of resources, Ray would know what would be best suited for my style of learning. I always felt comfortable asking Ray a lot of questions, and even if I have asked the same several times earlier, he would make sure I didn’t leave without feeling comfortable with the content!

Ray is local to my town and is lovely tutor. He tutored many of my friends, and my older sister in chemistry who found him really great. I started tutoring with Ray part of the way through year 12, in 2020. At the time, chemistry made no sense, and I had to work really hard to even pass. After my first lesson with Ray, we figured out that the main reason is I missed fundamental knowledge from year 11.
Ray was very helpful and patient as he found all the gaps in my knowledge. Suddenly everything started to make a lot more sense. After that we started on the current year 12 content. Ray introduced topics in a really easy way to understand. He has lots of useful ways to remember tricky equations and rules which were very helpful as well. He also was motivated me to try harder and do as many practice questions as possible.

We would go through lots of practice questions, work them out together and if there was anything I didn't know he made sure I knew it and was able to apply it on my own. For the rest of the year I got straight A and A+ in all my SACS and felt really well prepared for exams. I just wish I started going to Ray back in year 11, because I would have benefited even more.

Overall a great tutor who will personalise his teaching depending on the student's needs and a really nice guy.

Ray is an incredible teacher. I really struggled to understand the abstract basics of Chemistry, however Ray puts everything into terms I can understand and things that relate to my day-to-day. Ray has decades of experience - his sayings and anagrams make everything much easier to understand. He is always prepared for anything I throw at him. He keeps chemistry real. I am very lucky to have found a fantastic tutor. I would highly recommend him to anybody.

Ray assisted me with VCE Chemistry a couple of years ago. He was thorough, knew the content inside out and he really helped my understanding. I liked the way the way he would pre-teach a topic as that made it so much easier when my class teacher went over it. I’m sure Ray really helped me boost my score both in SACs and exams.
