About Georgios
My name is George and I’m an Associate Professor of Finance. I’ve taught at several UK universities working with students from diverse academic and cultural backgrounds. I teach because I’m passionate about helping students understand and appreciate the world of finance. I believe that financial literacy and analytical thinking are powerful tools—not only for academic success but also for making informed decisions in life and business. My goal is to share the knowledge I’ve gained through years of teaching and research, and to support students as they grow in both skill and confidence.

As a university lecturer with a PhD in Accounting and Finance and over five years of teaching experience, my tutoring approach combines academic rigour with real-world relevance. I aim to make complex financial and accounting concepts accessible and engaging by connecting theory with practical examples drawn from current research and industry practices. My lessons are typically 60 to 90 minutes long and are tailored to each student’s specific goals—whether it's preparing for university exams, improving coursework performance, or deepening understanding of key topics like corporate finance, international accounting, or financial econometrics. I teach undergraduate and postgraduate students in Accounting, Finance, and related business disciplines. My teaching methodology emphasises critical thinking, structured problem-solving, and active student engagement. I use a mix of discussion, guided problem sets, and data-driven case studies to ensure students not only learn but apply what they learn effectively. Whether you're a first-year undergraduate (or younger) or a master/MBA student my goal is to support your academic success and build your confidence in finance and accounting.
