About Michael

Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Michael. I completed my undergraduate studies at UC Berkeley, where I double majored in Economics and Business Administration while developing strong analytical and critical thinking skills along the way. While at Berkeley, I also tutored student athletes in math, economics, and statistics; guiding them to progress and excel in their studies by helping them learn the material in a way that they could easily metabolize.

In the corporate world, I worked in Finance as well as Operations. In those jobs, I learned how to work effectively on a team to reach company goals, and how to train interns and entry-level employees best practices at the workplace. Outside of the job, I trained as a yoga teacher and subsequently taught a weekly class for over two years. As a yoga teacher, I learned how to create an environment of ease and relaxation, and to be able to meet students wherever they were in their practice. In addition to teaching yoga, I privately tutored students in algebra, geometry, and statistics. I helped each student I worked with gain a deeper understanding of each subject, while presenting them with possibilities on how these subjects have practical real-world applications that would be relevant to the students.

After exploring classes and workshops outside of work, I fell in love with acting, and decided to embark on a new path by entering graduate school at USC to pursue my MFA in Acting. I graduated from that program last month. Through deep and extensive work on acting, movement, voice, and improvisation, I became a significantly more clear, compelling, and effective communicator.
