About Savannah
I have a Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication, concentration theatre and English literature and linguistics. Prior to attending college at East Tennessee State University, I worked as a teaching assistant to the drama strand instructor of a college prep course. Through college, I tutored in ETSU's Writing and Communication Center in creative writing, academic writing, reading comprehension, and public speaking. I worked as a touring actor and director for Missoula Children's Theatre, touring the country and leading workshops in improvisation, creative dramatics, storytelling, and acting for beginners. Prior to Covid, I served as the children's program coordinator at a small library, creating lessons in storytelling, creative writing, reading comprehension, and current events. Throughout the last decade, I have tutored privately as well as created and led workshops for all ages in storytelling, creative writing, improvisation, creative dramatics, and acting for beginners.

I prefer to spend the first few sessions establishing the student's personal goals and best method of learning. I believe in asking leading questions to allow for comfortable brainstorming that will lead the answer the student seeks. I adapt lessons to cater to each individual's strengths, for example, discussion-based or written approach.
