About Kristopher

Understanding human nature is the goal of psychology. The more we are able to understand ourselves and the better we can articulate ourselves, the more meaningful we can make our lives.

Conceptualizing psychology and how it applies to our lives personally is my specialty. Writing is a means to create a connection to that understanding. My goal is to help students develop their connection with their highest potential by teaching psychology and how to write effectively.

I can help with basic understanding of general psychology and Jungian psychology. I help to identify personal goals and work with my students to create practical steps to get to where they want to be.

I am a psychology consultant and ordained Reverend. I have been counseling since 2020 as the owner of my own business. I am a published author of 2 books and I work as a freelance writer and editor. I have formal education in many different branches of psychology with a specialization in psychoanalysis. I also studied mythology, writing, reasearch methods and philosophy.

My counseling sessions are very much learning experiences where I guide my clients through their problems bit by bit. I can apply the same method to tutoring. I have been counseling and teaching since 2020.

I have an Associate's degree in psychology. I finished 22 credits for my Bacherlor's degree in psychology. I left formal education to become a Reverend and counselor. I continue independent studies in psychology and mythology to better assist my clients and for research for my books and articles.

I have written 2 books. The first one was an inquiry into the effects of role models (and the lack thereof) on personal and psychological development. The second book is an attempt to use Jungian psychology to try and understand the collective identity crisis the West is currently facing.

I was trained by my wife, who is also a Reverend and counselor with 20 years of experience.

About the lesson

The first thing I want to establish is the overall goal for the student. Each session will have a particular goal that we will strive for. Whether that is just studying for a test, or if the student wants to do research or understand a certain topic better.

I have worked with people of varying ages and backgrounds. I have counseled people in their early 20s and people in their 70s with many different issues: relationships, jobs, personal growth, and spirituality. Most of those problems involved self-reflection and analysis which is essentially what I teach with psychology and writing.

Don't trust someone who claims to know it all. A teacher who is willing to learn with you is going to make the best out of the learning experience.

I just published my 2nd book last week (12/7/22). It was a lot of hard work and I am very happy with how it came out. My wife and I are celebrating our 3rd Christmas together and we went all out with decorations this year. I'm really proud of her and how far she has come.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
What is the end goal of the learning experience? What do you want to do with the education and learning? Students should have at least a vague idea of the outcome of their education, and the teacher is there to help make that idea more precise and attainable.

Details

I offer the first 30 minutes for free to get a feel for what the student needs. After that, I charge $15 dollars an hour. I book multiple sessions at once in packs of 3 hours for $40, 5 hours for $65, and 10 hours for $125. These will be paid in advance. Scheduling can be flexible, but cancellations will only receive a 50% refund.
