About Fawaz

I am an experienced educator and tutor with over 15 years of teaching across multiple universities and supporting hundreds of students in computer science, AI, data engineering, and related fields. I hold a PhD in Computer Science, an MSc, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE), which together provide a strong foundation in both subject expertise and effective, learner-focused teaching strategies. My teaching style is supportive, flexible, and built around each student’s individual needs. I adapt lessons to suit different learning preferences—whether that’s a structured, step-by-step approach or a more conversational, exploratory style. I focus on helping students understand how to learn, not just what to learn, so they gain confidence, critical thinking skills, and academic independence. With over 45 peer-reviewed publications and 200+ talks delivered globally, I bring real-world insights and current knowledge into every lesson. I’m also well-versed in a range of exam boards and academic standards, ensuring students are prepared and aligned with curriculum expectations. I specialise in breaking down complex technical concepts into clear, practical lessons connected to real-world applications and academic outcomes. My experience spans undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, as well as one-to-one tutoring in areas like academic writing, exam prep, project mentoring, and lab-based learning. Whether helping a student pass a challenging course, prepare for exams, or build the skills for a tech career, I am passionate about creating meaningful, tailored learning journeys that empower every student to succeed.
