So many people tell me they hated maths in school, and it’s almost always because they weren’t taught well. I think maths can get a better rap if we’re able to teach it in a way that makes sense, and able to explain it in many different ways until it does.

Often the biggest challenge facing students studying maths is confidence, which is something I like to develop alongside the course work. This comes from really understanding what you’re doing, rather than memorising methods, and having tools to check your answers.
