My Watercolors are Photo Realistic, and exhibit Regionally, in Galleries, Juried Exhibits and Shows in North West Ohio & The Ann Arbor Summer Art Fair, Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Full Time Studio Artist in the Jones Building, located in downtown Findlay, Ohio.

Small sized classes availeble in Watercolors, Currently accepting adult students, from beginners to experienced; each student works at their own pace.

Printmaking; Solar Plate Etching, Copper Plate Engraving, Monoprints. Adult students with some experience in this medium.

Painting my watercolors for me isnt a hobby--as a Full Time Artist with a Bachelor's degree from Ohio Northern University, and a Master's Degree from Bowling Green State University--its both a livlihood and a personal necesssity; as important as breathing.

i enjoy teaching others how to see, and find their way with watercolors as a practice, too. I dont have everyone paint thew same image, but I actually teach you HOW tio paint--what tool, paper, paints, etc. as well as how to Frame.

There's also a possiblity of studio time or very small classes availeble for those EXPERIENCED in intaglio printmaking: copperplate engraving, mezzotint & monoprint, on my small Griffin Itaglio Press.

Right out of Undergraduate school. I gave a few workshops for Ohio Northern University, and for Lima Art Association--now ArtSpace Lima.

BFA in painting, specifically, Watercolors, from Ohio Northern University, 1977.

MFA in 2D Studied, Painting(watercolors) from Bowling Greeb State University, 2015.

Ive taught Art Appreciation at Ohio Northern for 3 years before 2013, Art Fundamentals, Drawing at BGSU in 2014-15, and currently teach Watercolors at the University pf Findlay. My paintings have exhibited in shows in both Group Invitational and One Artist Exhibits throughout North West Ohio, as well yearly exhibiting in The Ann Arbor Summer Art Fair.

I was interviewed for my Equine watercolors by PBS' Emmy Award winning show Equitrekking for their online magazine, and over the years up to 6 paintings have hung in the Toledo Museum of Art.

About the lesson

Classes are for Adults, Each of my student chooses their subjects--and works at their own pace. I've had beginners in the same class with art teachers, students raging from High School Seniors developing a college portfolio--to Nurses, Lawyers, Doctors, Retired AAUW Ladies, Public School Art Teachers, even a University Art History Professor--to complete beginners--all in the same class.

My studio is small--there's room for 3 to 4 students at a time, but I have access to a larger space as my studio is almost directly above Findlay Art League, in downtown Findlay, Ohio.

Details

My classes are weekly, for 8 weeks, for $180, all supplies included, or $150, if you have the necessary supplies. Theere are many art supplies out there--and the reason most students have issues with Watercolors--is largely the supplies. I ask that students not purchase before the first class, to save them money.

The first class is usually a Demo by me, to show basic technique, and to discuss how & whys of supplies. We use Artist grade materials.
