About Mariana

I have played the violin for 10 years. I was concertmaster at my high school and will continue to play in collge in the fall of 2020. I have had well-known music teachers including Manuel Diaz, Barbara Careaga, and Boris Abromov. I am currently teaching a 5 year-old and a 12 yaer-old. I love teaching little ones but will teach anyone of any age! Although I mainly teach beginners, I can teach intermediate players, too. My classes will be through Skype.

I love watching my students grow! Seeing how much they have improved since their first lesson with me is amazing. It is a joy seeing them grow a passion for music!

I began teaching after someone I knew asked me if I could give them private violin lessons. I then started teaching my five-year-old sister.

I have played the violin for 10 years and was given a spot in the Georgia All-State Orchestra in 2020. I was in a youth orchestra for 7 seven years, and I will play in college starting this fall.

About the lesson

I will assess their current knowledge and then suggest a method book for their demonstrated knowledge. I am big in scales and encourage the use of a tuner and metronome while practicing.
