About Olina

I have been working with music teachers for as long as I can remember, whether it be my dad and I jamming out in our living room or high school honor band with a special guest conductor. Seeing how they influence a youth's life inspired me to share what I know to any music enthusiast of any age.

I have been playing ukulele, mainly self taught, for the past 9 years. I have studied Bb and Eb clarinet in the instrumental music programs at my current and past schools. I have studied Marimba and various mallet keyboards in the marching band and indoor percussion programs at my current and past schools. I also have been working on music composition with the Young Composers Community since April of 2021, and have experience arranging and composing for various ensembles.

About the lesson

I have to start by getting an idea of how much the student already knows. Based on their skill level, we work on creating an end goal and a lesson plan to reach it.

I have worked with beginners over the past year or so who can now perform advanced finger-picking techniques.
