About Richard
I derive a great deal of satisfaction from helping my students improve their writing over time. One of the key factors in improving your writing is to understand that writing itself is a process. I can help you to master that process so your writing is clearer, more concise, and expresses exactly what you want to say.
I've been a teacher and tutor of writing and English for over a decade. Previously, I've taught English and writing in South Korea, China, Spain, and Romania to a wide range of students from diverse and varied backgrounds. I hold a BA in English and am currently a graduate student pursuing an MA in philosophy.

When I meet with a new student, the first thing I like to do a needs assessment. This usually involves a brief conversation and a review of a student's writing sample. I always strive to tailor my teaching and tutoring to each individual student and that student's specific needs.
