About Jacob

Hello. I’m Jacob, an LSAT tutor based in Chevy Chase, Maryland, working for Prep for Success. I offer a unique approach to LSAT tutoring tailored to help you conquer the LSAT. While the companies I have worked for charge $100-150 per hour or more for tutoring, my services provide a great deal for the same high-quality guidance.

We spend our sessions discussing the underlying mechanics of the LSAT – breaking down the Logical Reasoning and Reading Comprehension sections into manageable subsets and frameworks, depicting the pattern for each question type, and targeting areas of weakness. By identifying patterns and common pitfalls, we develop strategies to tackle each question type with precision and confidence, ultimately raising scores through a comprehensive understanding of the test's mechanics and strategic approaches to combat them.

The LSAT employs a consistent array of tricks, often presenting trap answers that lure test-takers towards incorrect choices. By unraveling these tactics and recognizing how the test leverages our outside knowledge to mislead, we gain the upper hand in dissecting wrong answers. This insight not only helps us understand why these options clash with our instinctive reasoning but also empowers us to navigate the exam with confidence and precision.

He didn’t just throw practice questions at me he taught me how to think like the test makers. His Logical Reasoning tips were a game changer, and his Reading Comp strategies finally made me feel like I had enough time to actually understand the passages instead of rushing.

Jacob was super patient and kept me motivated even when I hit plateaus. By test day, I felt way more confident and ended up with a 171.

If you want to raise your score, I can’t recommend Jacob enough. He makes the LSAT way less scary.
