About Kathy

I am so experienced and comfortable in the water that my swimmers can sense it and trust me or learn to trust me. By working in a private or semi-private situation, we can move through skills more quickly or spend time on the ones we need to. I can adjust based on the goals of the swimmer and parents as well. As a safety professional, I teach swimmers about water safety during our lessons.

I love to swim and be in the water morning, noon, and night! I love to share my love of swimming and playing in the water with others. Swimming is a lifelong skill and the best exercise for all ages.

I have over 20 years of teaching swim lessons for all ages and have experience coaching. I am able to teach all 6 stokes and prepare swimmers for competition by including turns and starts (dives). I was a competitive swimmer and diver and still love the sport! I am happy and positive and adjust as needed to achieve the goals of the swimmer/parents.

About the lesson

I assess their current skills, situation (home pool, rec. pool, lake, etc.) goals, and gain the trust of the swimmer. I incorporate skills with fun and have great success even with the most scared.
