My daughter received feeding therapy for 9 months, at age 7, and we stopped when Chelsea moved out of town. My daughter tried a few new foods during the time she was receiving therapy. Soon after the last therapy, she started trying even more foods, it felt as if in her mind she kept going to see Chelsea, and she felt confident and interested in new flavors and textures almost on a daily basis. At home, we tried a similar approach as done during therapy, and she slowly increased her regular food options. We also started letting her do stuff in the kitchen. Surprisingly, 4 months ago, she started baking breads and desserts, all on her own, witout recipes or measurements! She got inspired by watching Nailed It on Netflix, and she has made a variety (all edible and yummy!) of baked foods, all within our dietary restrictions. She did not try her own creations at first, but after seeing how her friends and family loved what she made, she started trying and eating her own baked goods. We owe Chelsea all of this, we will be forever grateful!

We have recently started working with Chelsea remotely with our second grader, Wyatt. The WebEx technology works flawlessly for speech therapy. She plays fun, engaging games and the time goes by very quickly. I would highly recommend "Look Whoo's Talking" for telemedicine therapy for this spring and over the summer.

We use Chelsea on a self pay basis as she comes to our house or my daughters school twice per week for speech therapy. This would be the easiest way without having that feeling of having to see someone in their office which can be intimidating for a kid. Our daughter loves Chelsea and looks forward to each visit. The feedback continues at home and we see the improvement at home plus the feedback on improvement from her teacher as well. We are beyond thankful for coming across her.

I have to share about my son Carter -- enjoying ice cream and also eating an apple at his Preschool orientation this year. He's now 3 years old. As I was looking back at these pictures, I see a boy doing something normal -- eating -- however, this wasn't always the case, it wasn't normal to him. Rewind to two years ago. It's a milestone you get excited about. Starting solids with your babies and exploring new foods. For us it was a living nightmare. To give a bit of background, Carter started out on solids just fine at 6 months old. He had a few instances where he threw up his food and with that was born a food aversion. He would not open his mouth for a spoon at all. He would cry and turn his face. We gave it time...

His first birthday rolled around. Still no food. We decided to start something we had never even heard about. Food therapy. We went to the first therapy session at a hospital. It was a mess. Carter would cry just sitting in the high chair. They tried to talk over him and say it was normal and continue with the lesson. Second appointment came. Same thing. It was 30 minutes and a lot of money to get nowhere. We decided to try another therapist at another doctor. Even worse. We paid her to try and entertain him in a closet size room while he was crying. No progress with food. Again, we didn't even know this kind of therapy existed, but we knew this didn't feel right.

Finally we found Chelsea!!! She came to our home for the therapy sessions and from the start I had faith in her just by the way she spoke to him, how she followed his lead during the sessions, her patience and her knowledge on the topic. As she worked with him she would explain why she was doing what she was doing and how to do it ourselves to practice on days we didn't have her sessions. She was a true professional and so great with not pushing him to a limit where he wasn't willing to try anymore.

To this day, two years later, I still think about Chelsea and I message her pictures of him eating because I am forever grateful to the person who cured him of his food aversion. She is the reason he started eating and I learned so much from just watching her. This is probably the hardest thing I've ever dealt with in my life. The stress it caused on us as a family is unforgettable and I can't thank her enough for changing our lives.
