About
I recently retired from special education as a kindergarten through middle school special education teacher. I have taught in self-contained; second grade through fourth grade, and special education in a resource capacity. I have a great passion supporting students that want the extra time and individualized support to be successful in their academic journey. I have 6 years as a certified educator. I have over 10 years working in the education system as a facilitator for early childhood readiness and supporting family communities with their children in the education sector.
Prior to that I was a business banker for over 20 years. My bucket list was to become a special education teacher and I know there is a huge need and realized I had to go back in to the field as tutor.
I believe every student has the right to be successful in his or her own way. I believe I can support students with strategies to support him or her identifying their individual skills and strengths to meet there academic needs.
I currently hold a Master's degree in Special Education and a Master's degree in Autism Spectrum Disorders from Grand Canyon University and a Bachelor's degree in non-profit leadership and management from ASU.
