About Teresa
My name is Dr. Teresa Lòpez. I have 30 years of experience in the field of education. My expertise is in second language acquisition, bilingual, general, and special education at the school, district, and state levels. My experience focuses on students' cultural and linguistic strengths. I believe that every student can learn when providing the appropriate learning tools and a curriculum that engages the learner in how to think rather than what to think. I support and provide scaffolding to adjust the level and type of support to learners as they progress through a learning task or goal.
I place realistic demands on my students, hold them accountable, and enable them to believe they can draw up a plan to advance from the current knowledge to mastering their learning goals.
I am looking forward to working with you!
