About MONICA

I have been teaching Spanish for almost 10 years. It is my first language and I am very passionate when someone seems interested in learning it. Learning a new language can be really tough and it is very important to make it fun in order to not feel discouraged.

I enjoy teaching and repeating for my students as many times they need until they understand and get it right on their own.

I prefer teaching 1-1 to focus on pronunciation and personalize my lessons to that specific student and his needs.

It started as an exchange with my friend. He was teaching me English and I was teaching him Spanish.

That's how I found out I love teaching Spanish!

I am currently finishing my ELE Certificate to formally teach Spanish. I have ten years of experience teaching Spanish to adults.

About the lesson

I like to sit with my new student and find out a little about themselves. This way I try to find out what type of learner he is and this will help me to plan my lessons better.
If the student knows his preferences of learning, what topics he is interested in and what are his weaknesses.

Adults.

Have a class with them, having great chemistry with your teacher means classes will be fun and you won't be ashamed or held back when you make mistakes.

Learning a language is fun! Learning about a new culture is a lot of fun!

I love seeing my students text me in Spanish or tell me an event that happened during the week in Spanish.
Seeing their progress shows me how much we have worked together and seeing results makes me really proud.

It all depends on how much I have to prepare and how much I have to plan for the class. How many hours and days during the week I will see the student.
