About Jocelyn
With nine years of Spanish classroom teaching experience, I have led many high school students to intermediate Spanish proficiency. I love opening the door to language and culture for young people. It comes easy and naturally to some, but everyone can do it! Helping those who actually have to try is my favorite sort of work because it challenges me to find new ways to teach. I always find a way for students to understand, produce, and retain.
I have taught Spanish formally to grades 8-12 for nine years. Courses have included exploratory, levels 1-4, and AP. In addition, I ran an after-school Spanish program for an elementary school, have done adult ESL tutoring, and have taught one on one adult Spanish.
