About Jennifer
I have been teaching and tutoring French and Spanish for many years. Because I am not a native speaker, but rather learned both of these languages in school and immersion programs myself, I am able to relate well to the struggling or beginning language student. Parents hired me for many years before I officially started my teaching career to boost their children's confidence in the language or to provide support throughout the school year. Now, I teach middle and high school French and provide in-school academic support for Spanish students. I have been teaching middle school and high school for 6 years. Before that, I taught beginning-level courses at the college level, and have been tutoring for over 12 years.
I absolutely love working with young people and with enthusiastic adult learners as well. I enjoy helping people find connections to the languages I love and calming their fears.
