About Dolores

Hola! My name is Dolores. I received my bachelor's degree in El Salvador 25+ years ago. I came to the United States looking for a better life for myself because at that time a civil war was happening in my country. The constant fighting and bloodshed became too overwhelming and dangerous to live in that I needed to escape from it. I am proud to call myself an American citizen and I am very fortunate and grateful to have achieved the American dream. I met the love of my life here and raised two beautiful children, both holding Master Degrees in their respected fields. I've led a blue collared job all these years but have finally decided to take a step back and work in the profession I am passionate about, teaching.

Although my primary language is Spanish, I do know how to read, write and speak in English. Plenty have described my accent as being "cute" or "adorable", but that's besides the point. I received my ESL certificate from Suffolk Community College back in the early 2000's. I've always helped my children out from k-12 on their assignments when they needed it. At one point in my life I did hold a lead teacher position at a preschool/daycare called Prince at Peace. I truly enjoyed the work I did at that school and I'm excited to continue teaching others.

If there is anyone who is looking to learn Spanish or needs help with studying for their Spanish exam, I am your go-to person.

Spanish is my native language.

I have wonderful penmanship and have helped my own children when they were in elementary school with their spelling assignments.

I have a deep interest in the subject and enjoy having conversations about different religions.

I am a very compassionate and easy-going person. I love to teach and will help you learn the skills you need to be successful.
