About Katelyn

I am currently a senior in college, and have been student teaching for the last 5 months. I have had teaching experience prior and have spoken Spanish for many years. I lived abroad in Argentina for a semester and studied multiple subjects in the language. I have lots of fun activities and diversify my teaching style to help students learn in a variety of ways. I always say teaching and learning Spanish (or any language) is the best because there are so many ways to learn through music, tv, reading, and even looking at reels/social media profiles.

I am a student at St. Norbert College in DePere studying to be a High School Spanish Teacher. I have been learning Spanish for over 7 years, and absolutely love every minute of it. I’m very excited to share my passion with others! :)

About the lesson

My goal in the classroom is to always make learning fun. I employ many different methods including learning through music, television, and oral practice. I incorporate journaling in the classroom to enhance writing abilities and use programs such as Duolingo to help speed up the process.
