About Elisa

I am a professional vocalist, performere and songwriter with 10 years music performance experience with a strong emphasis on lead/background singing, vocal technique/performance, and songwriting in contemporary styles as well as 3 years teaching experience with emphasis on contemporary vocals and keyboard for all ages. I have a Bachelor of Music in Performance Degree, an Associate of Arts Degree in Vocal Performance and a certificate as an Independent Artist from Musicians Institute in Los Angeles, CA. I teach contemporary styles for beginner to advanced voice and beginner to intermediate piano as well as songwriting, recording, music theory, ear training, sight-reading and music notation. As a working musician and music teacher, I believe in cultivating a space where my students can feel safe to explore, be creative and enjoy the process of finding their own musical abilities. I can't wait to be able to share my passion for music and teaching with you. Let's start learning!

I started teaching with SLAM! Program LA as a volunteer where I had the opportunity to teach voice and piano lessons for students 5 to 15 years old in both private and group settings in underserved schools around the LA area. This volunteering experience led me to start my own vocal studio which has allowed me to broaden my capabilities as a music teacher with a constant roster of 15+ students, where I have created a positive and safe space to learn for my students while challenging them with fun and detailed-oriented lessons.

I have a Bachelor of Music Degree in Performance, an Associate of Arts Degree in Vocal Performance and a Certificate as an Independent Artist from Musicians Institute in Los Angeles, CA.

About the lesson

I first want to get to know my new students not only musically but also personally so we get to connect and start creating a bond to make our lessons enjoyable. From there I asses their level and understanding through easy exercises and explanations so I can understand how I can help them achieve their goals. I like to guide my students towards music that they are interested in and start working on things that excite them and help them grow from there!

I have worked with students of all ages. I have work with children, teenagers and adults ranging from begineers to advanced.
