About Angelica

I treat each student as an individual with their own unique set of strengths, challenges and learning style. I am an active member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing and work hard to provide educational and performance opportunities for voice teachers, performers and students.

I love to help people grow not just musically and vocally but as people. Many people really underestimate their potential and I love to chip away at what keeps you from being the best singer you can be.

I started teaching after graduating with my degree and discovered that i love it even more than performing. I taught in the community music program at University of Missouri while doing some graduate level study.

I have a B.A. in Classical Voice.

I regularly attend and organize vocal pedagogy workshops.

I have worked with some of the best teachers and coaches in the united states.

About the lesson

At the first lesson we have a chat about past experience and future goals. Then, I ask if there is a song you could sing so I can hear where your singing is currently. Then we run through a few simple exercises and I give just a little instruction to get an idea of range and tone. Then we sing whatever you want and I might have suggestions for songs that will help your musical and technical development

I have taught all kinds of students from absolute beginners to professionals. As long as you have a growth mindset and good attitude i will do everything i can to help you grow.

Ask all the questions. Don't be afraid to show you don't know something but also don't be afraid to show your greatness

I happened upon one of my students performing as a back up singer for Wild Belle on the Tonight Show. I was so proud.
